Quick Start
Two steps and the landscape is ready for use in games or other projects.
On an existing landscape
Section titled “On an existing landscape”- Select the landscape actor in your level.
- In the Details panel, find the Landscape Material slot and assign
M_APLM(or yourMI_APLM_*instance).
On a new landscape
Section titled “On a new landscape”- Open Landscape Mode in Unreal Engine.
- In the New tab, assign
M_APLMto the Material slot. - Confirm the layer infos are bound to the correct layers (Auto, EraseGrass, Grass, Mud, Snow, Cliff, Gravel, Beach, and one row per biome).
- Hit Create New to spawn the landscape.
Paint with Auto Layer
Section titled “Paint with Auto Layer”Selecting the Auto layer paints the entire landscape using the automatic angle and height blending built into APLM, with no manual brushwork.
Auto Layer is not mandatory. You can paint base layers, biome layers, or any combination directly. The blending logic still applies to whatever you paint.
